Kelly Wearstler, the globally recognized design studio and luxury lifestyle brand, is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Vice President of Operations to drive business performance, growth strategy, and cross-functional execution across the company.
Position Overview
- The VP will oversee operations, sales, and strategic initiatives while leading efforts to optimize profitability, scale new product categories, and strengthen partnerships across retail, e-commerce, and emerging verticals such as home fragrance and lifestyle products.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with consulting-level problem-solving skills and the hands-on leadership to bring ideas to life in a creative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to define and execute growth and operational strategy across retail, digital, and product channels.
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to align creative direction with financial goals.
- Oversee company P&L, operational systems, and performance KPIs to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, and new business initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams across operations, sales, and production to drive alignment and results.
- Develop frameworks and tools to improve forecasting, margin performance, and vendor relationships.
- Identify and launch new categories including home fragrance, candles, and design-driven lifestyle products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or top-tier consulting background preferred.
- 8–10+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or general management within luxury, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
- Proven track record in scaling businesses, managing P&L, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Deep experience in business development, partnerships, or licensing a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities Editorial Leadership
- Develop and oversee the WearstlerWorld editorial calendar, ensuring a steady cadence of high-quality, brand-aligned stories.
- Conceptualize and pitch feature ideas that span design, travel, architecture, interiors, industrial design, art, and culture.
- Develop and deliver client presentations, mood boards, and detailed FF&E documentation.
- Commission, brief, and edit work from freelance writers, photographers, and other creative contributors.
- Ensure all content meets brand standards for tone, quality, and visual integration.
Content Production & Project Management
- Manage multiple stories in production simultaneously, from ideation to final delivery.
- Collaborate with in-house designers, marketing, and digital teams to ensure content is visually compelling and optimized for publication.
- Coordinate with external contributors on deadlines, deliverables, and editorial direction.
- Align Substack editorial output with broader brand initiatives and other communication channels.
Brand Stewardship
- Maintain and evolve the WearstlerWorld editorial voice in alignment with the Kelly Wearstler brand ethos.
- Monitor cultural, design, and luxury market trends to ensure content remains relevant and distinctive.
- Work closely with Kelly to refine story concepts, ensuring her creative vision is woven into the editorial narrative.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of editorial experience within a design, culture, lifestyle, or luxury-focused publication or brand.
- Strong portfolio of published work demonstrating luxury storytelling and nuanced visual pairing.
- Proven ability to commission and manage top-tier creative talent across disciplines.

Senior Project Manager

Kelly Wearstler is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong leadership background and a proven track record in managing high-end private residential, luxury hospitality, and restaurant projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Manage multiple design projects end-to-end across luxury hospitality, commercial and private residential sectors
- Lead design development, drawing and documentation of projects during the design as well as manage the scope, schedule, and budget during construction.
- Act as main point of contact for project coordination with clients, contractors, fabricators, and other stakeholders
- Review and submit project documentation, ensuring design intent, technical accuracy and basic code compliance are met
- Scope and plan project milestones and timelines to meet external deadlines and budgets, ensure timely delivery of all project deliverables
- Collaborate with FF&E and Interiors teams; identify and support professional growth opportunities for team members
- Supervise team members from junior to senior levels through all project phases, manage design team requirements, effectively plan staffing and resources
Desired Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience with Interior Design/Architecture education and background
- Proven track record of managing multiple design projects end-to-end
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong leadership/management skills with ability to multitask, all from design inception to completion in all design phases
- Refined presentation skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD, Experience with Rhino, Rendering Programs, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office
- Applicant must have substantial CA experience (submittals, RFIs, ASI/IDSK review/response and coordinate with consultants)
