Director of Projects

Kelly Wearstler is looking for a Director of Projects with experience in luxury hotels, restaurants and high-end residential projects to join our Studio. The ideal candidate is strong creative leader that is excited about motivating teams and has proven success in managing multiple large-scale design projects end-to-end.
Duties
- Manage multiple design projects end-to-end across luxury hospitality, commercial and high-end residential; act as main point of contact for projects
- Lead design development, drawing and documentation of projects during the design as well as management of the scope, schedule and budget during construction. This includes coordination with clients, contractors and fabricators
- Oversee submission of drawing sets, including but not limited to, specifications, technical production and basic code knowledge
- Scope and plan project milestones and timelines; ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
- Lead and motivate teams; identify and execute on professional development opportunities for team members
- Responsible for management of design team requirements, including resource planning
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture from an accredited school
- 12+ years of related experience including proven track record of managing multiple interior design and architectural projects end-to-end (hospitality, and luxury residential)
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape and other similar software
- Ability to originate concepts, and be the design lead for teams putting numerous projects together
- Strong leadership/management skills with ability to multitask, all from design inception to completion in all design phases
- Applicant must have substantial CA experience (submittal, RFI, ASI/IDSK review/response and consultant coordination)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills to lead both client and internal management meetings
- Ability to maintain existing and build new client relationships; partake in new business development process
- Willing to travel (domestic and international)

Senior Interior Designer, FF&E

The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated and meticulous individual who is able to lead a strong design team and act in a project management role.
Duties
- This person should be able to collaborate seamlessly with clients, as well as other designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and developers on multiple projects.
- Responsible for material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, visual research, furniture sourcing, graphic and visual presentations, in addition to maintaining budgets and project timelines.
- Creating project documentation including the submission of a full drawing set, specification writing, schedules, and construction administration (submittal, RFI, ASI/IDSK review/response and consultant coordination).
Desired Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in interiors or architecture and a degree from an accredited school.
- Passion for design and an eye for detail.
- Excellent hand sketching and rendering ability.
- Knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation.
- High proficiency in AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp and Microsoft Office Suite.
- LEED accreditation a plus.

Desired Skills & Experience
- 1-4 years of experience in interiors or architecture and a degree from an accredited school.
- Passion for design and an eye for detail.
- Excellent 2D drawing and rendering ability.
- Working knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation.

Technical Designer
los angeles, CA
Kelly Wearstler is seeking a Technical Designer to join its growing studio. As a Technical Designer you will participate in all project phases and assist with the production of relevant documentation to execute design at a high level. You should be proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, or Revit, have a knowledge of materials, assemblies and best practices for interior details and construction. Experience in construction administration and some history of completed work a plus.
Duties
- Develop drawing and specification packages, and produce accurate technical and documentation as needed in schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases.
- Coordinate with FFE and Lifestyle teams to produce plans, elevations, and details in order to ensure design intent is incorporated into documentation packages.
- Assist with material selection, produce specifications, and review contractor submittals for conformance to design intent.
- Assist with the development of office documentation standards and practices.
- Occasionally participate in project coordination, construction administration, site visits, and maintain quality control during construction as needed.
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, to meet overall project objectives
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years relevant experience with Interior Design/Architecture education and background
- Strong management skills with ability to multitask, all from design inception to completion in all design phases
- Refined production skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and/or Revit
- Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environment

Digital Content Creator

The Digital Content Creator will own all content creation and performance across all of our social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest). Core responsibilities include managing our content calendar, creating content, monitoring performance and driving growth. Duties
- Serve as strategist and gatekeeper of the Kelly Wearstler brand on social media, driving the approach and creating content
- Develop compelling assets (photo, graphic, video, etc.) for key campaigns across each social platform
- Lead brainstorms with key cross-functional players to improve reach across channels
- Build social strategy decks for with creative briefs campaigns to share out with stakeholders

Production Manager

We are looking for a Production Manager to join the Kelly Wearstler team. The Production Manager will work closely with the product development and design teams to meticulously produce luxury, high-end furniture and manage performance to exceed targets in quality, delivery and cost.
Duties
- Support all aspects of furniture planning, scheduling and production, ensuring that luxury brand standards and deliverables are met on time
- Responsible for specific areas in the production process including QC and staying on top of orders in production
- Assist with new product development in collaboration with the furniture design team
- Work with Director of Production to maintain strategic vendor relationships
- Continually monitor and improve manufacturing efficiency and minimize waste
- Use KPIs to track process performance and report improvements including cost savings
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business
