Lahar Tray

lahar tray

Created in collaboration with Æquo Gallery, the Lahar collection marks Kelly Wearstler’s first exploration of Indian craftsmanship. Developed with master artisans in India, each piece is built around a monumental cast bronze grid, meticulously inlaid with hundreds of hand-shaped enamel elements. Subtle variations in color, texture, and finish ensure every work is singular. Lahar reflects a dialogue between Los Angeles and Mumbai, where structure, material intensity, and artisanal mastery converge in a bold expression of contemporary design rooted in tradition.

The Lahar Tray distills the essence of the collection into an intimate object for everyday ritual. A cast bronze grid cradles hand-shaped enamel pieces, each one unique in its subtle variations of tone and texture. Whether presented on a console, coffee table, or beside surface, the tray elevates the ordinary, transforming the act of gathering into a moment of quiet beauty.
